Will it grow my hair back?
No, and that's the point. SMP isn't a hair-growth treatment. It recreates the look of a full head of closely shaved stubble, and the result is there the day you walk out. Permanent, no waiting, nothing to keep taking.
How much is it?
A fraction of a transplant, and unlike pills or fibres, you only pay once. SMP at Union Barber runs between $1,800 and $2,800 for a full treatment, usually three sessions, depending on how much we're rebuilding. If you've already had SMP and just need a refresh, touch-ups are $695 a session. A transplant runs well into five figures, with scars and a six-month wait. Meds and concealers are a bill you keep paying every month, for a result that disappears the day you stop. You get your exact number once we've seen your photo, with zero pressure.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. You don't have to pay it all up front. We offer flexible financing through Cherry, so you can spread the cost into simple monthly payments that suit your budget. Most men are surprised how manageable it works out.
Do I have to keep it shaved?
For the classic look, yes. It pairs with a closely shaved or buzzed style, kept up with a quick home shave a couple of times a week. If you're adding density to thinning hair, you can keep some length. We find your look on the call.
Will it look real?
Yes. We replicate closely shaved stubble with thousands of tiny impressions. Your own barber won't be able to tell.
Is there downtime?
None. You're back to normal the same day.
How long does it last?
It's permanent. Visible from the first session, with optional touch-ups every few years to keep it sharp.
